Taraneh Alidoosti ( ترانه عليدوستی ) was born on 12 January 1984 in Tehran. In 2000 she started visiting Amin Tarokh's acting school. Soon she was cast for her first role in I Am Taraneh, I Am Fifteen Years Old (2002), which brought her a Silver Leopard at the 55th Locarno Film Festival and a Cristal Simorgh at the Fajr Film Festival.
