Bahram and Bahman Haj Abol Loo (Ark) are twin brothers, born in 1989 in the city of Tabriz, Iran. They have graduated from The Islamic Arts University, holding Bachelor degrees in Carpet Design and Iranian Art, respectively. They began their film career in 2009 by writing and making short films. Their short films, THE SUNBURNED and THE UNCLEAN, were recognized in local and international film festivals. The Unclean is about that Whilst driving on a dark night, a man hits a dog and injures it severely. His guilt and empathy are evident as he takes the whimpering animal to his home. However, dogs are considered 'unclean' in Islam and his wife and family wish for him to disperse of the dog. With his family arguing that the dog can not be present during an upcoming religious festival, the man drives it back to the roadside where he struck it. As his compassion comes into conflict with tradition, the man is faced with a serious dilemma with what to do with the poor animal.
