Dariush Farhang ( داریوش فرهنگ ) is an Iranian director, writer, and actor. He was born on 28 November 1947 in Abadan. Dariush received his degree at the University of Tehran. He started his career as an actor with a short film 'Salandar' (1980), which is a historical account on the Mongol raids. Dariush Farhang has directed a TV series 'The Legend of the King and the Shepherd' (1984) and a movie 'The Yellow Rose' (2002).

Yellow Rose is about that In a road heading North, a man in black steals from a driver and sets him into fire in his car and escapes. In Tehran, a young couple, Leila and Arash, celebrate their marriage, and when the guests are following their car in the streets, Leila asks Arash to go North of Iran and leave them behind. Arash who is somehow astonished, accepts her request. When Arash stops at a gas station to refuel, another bridal car stops beside them. Davoud and his wife are also heading North. The two couples become friends and decide to go to Davoud's villa together. The wandered thief and the murderer suddenly shows up in the road and is hit killed by Davoud's car. The two couples decide to perish the corpse of the man in black. A struggle takes place between Arash and Davoud, and Leila who is angry about Arash's reaction, accused him of being frightened. When they return Tehran, she expresses her indifference to live with him. For repentance, and in order to reach Leila again, Arash tries different ways and eventually he succeeds to make an agreement with Leila. Thereafter, some strange events occur in their life which show that the man in black is still alive and he threatens them by different tricks. Arash proposes to go to Davoud's villa again, maybe the threats stop, but this will not happen. One day, Arash has gone out and does not return. They find out that he is killed near the swamp. The murderer comes to kill the others in the villa and hurts Davoud. He goes to the women but they resist. Davoud who is recovered, attacks him and the murderer loses his mask. He is Arash who has tried to prove he is not a coward and has planned to make all of them frightened by his actions.
