The Exceptional is about that After the death of his wife, Captain Hossein Allahyari is living with his young daughter, Nazanin. Following an accident, he meets Bita Mahmoudi, the nurse who is in charge of them at the hospital. Their meeting leads to marriage, but Bita does not mention anything to Hossein about her first marriage to a criminal named Ayoub.
