Thirst is about that Nader is released after 5 years in jail, but soon is tempted to rob a jewelry shop along with an old acquaintance of him. He doesn't accept at first and wants to have a peaceful life with his wife, Soudabeh, but he agrees once he finds out that the shop belongs to Saeed Zebel, the same person who was responsible for his imprisonment . The shop is located under Tehran's Grand Hotel; they create a fire in the hotel,so they are able to go into the room above the shop and carry out their plan successfully. After they leave the hotel with the bag full of jewelry, Ashkan has an asthma attack and Nader goes to the pharmacy to get his medicine. However, this attack was his ruse to leave Nader, and escape with Kourosh and take all the jewelry. Ashkan then handcuffs Kourosh to the steering wheel and takes the bag. Nader and Kourosh go after Ashkan and go through a struggle upon finding him, during which the bag is passed around many times. Kourosh is thrown from a building while escaping and dies. Nader who was supposed to meet Soudabeh at the railroad station is killed just before he can get on the train by a killer who was hired by the same acquaintance who had proposed the robbery. Ashkan who believes to be the winner and can take the money, is also killed by the same man and eventually the money goes to the one who had originally made the proposition of robbery. The Pastry Girl is about that Saeed’s and Niloofar’s marriage has been postponed for several years. The main reason for that is the personal conflicts between their parents - Mr. Saatchi and Mrs. Rostami. Now Saeed and Niloofar are getting aged, yet the time of their marriage has not been determined because of their parents’ aggressive behavior. Mr. Saatchi has hidden his son’s birth certificate to impede him from getting married and Mrs. Rostami uses her daughter as a worker in the confectionary, as if she has forgotten that she is her own daughter. As a result of a nightmare in the midst of a stroke, Saatchi seemingly is punished and he agrees to the middle-aged couple’s marriage; however, once again the wedding ends up in quarrel and separation. As this occurs for several times, Niloofar, while being depressed and indifferent, suggests Saeed to get away. Saeed accepts and he has no idea that Niloofar is going to commit suicide. To do this, Niloofar has poisoned some pastries, but there has happened some ridiculous mistake. Instead of poison, Niloofar has poured some diarrhea pills in the pastries. Before he gets away, Saeed, being totally unaware of Niloofar's plans, eats those supposedly poisoned pastries; thereby, they face a ridiculous trouble. On the other side, their parents are passionately looking for them; it seems that they are ashamed of the way they behaved before that. But Saeed and Niloofar, who have been belittled for many times, decide to oppose their parents. In Saatchi’s house, being surrounded by the police and their families, Saeed and Niloofar warn their parents that if they do not consent to the marriage and Saatchi does not give his son’s birth certificate back to him, they would burn themselves and the house as well. The elders inevitably consent and the wedding takes place. Meanwhile, Mr. Saatchi and Mrs. Rostami put the conflicts aside and behave rationally and with interest toward each other.
