Hossein Sarshar ( حسین سرشار ) was one of Iran's most famous Opera singers. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tehran and continued his post-secondary education in France. After the revolution, Sarshar secretly joined the Iranian Resistance and was sent to prison and was tortured there. Finally in the day he was released from prison was killed in a car accident.
