Runaway is about that Two town teenagers, Asal and Reza, who love each other run away together to Tehran since they are aware of their parents’ opposition. Maryam, Asal’s mother, who is a teacher, comes to Tehran to bring her back and starts searching for her with the help of a friend who is a stewardess. She eventually finds a trace of Reza . However, Reza has gotten involved in smuggling and because of the disagreement with his boss, he gets hidden somewhere. Maryam finds Mosayeb’s hideout with the help of Majid, Reza’s friend. That’s when Reza has come to Mosayeb to get his money and he’s gotten into a struggle with him and his gang. At the same time, Asal has been deceived by a woman and is supposed to be sent to Arab countries. However, she finds an opportunity and takes the advantage of it to escape. She has found out that her mother is looking for her, so she goes to find her in Mosayeb’s hideout and before he and his gang could get to her, the police arrest them. Finally , after the bitter and painful things that has happened to her, Asal returns to her hometown with her mother.
