Mohammad Farokhmanesh (محمد فرخ منش ) was born in 1971 in Shiraz. He is a Gerd Ruge-Prize winning Iranian film director, scriptwriter and producer, residing in Germany. He started making his first short films during his education at the “Iranian Young Cinema Society”. In 2001 he gained a University Degree in filmmaking at the Hochschule fair bildende Kainste (University of Fine Arts Hamburg), after which he worked two years as a film production consultant. Colors of Memory is about that The film relates the story of a surgeon who returns to Iran after living in Germany for 33 years. Arriving in Tehran, Doctor Pārsā performs a heart operation on the nephew of the family friend Mr Ghanāti. Mr Ghanāti urges him to travel with him to his home town, Bam.
