Parisa Bakhtavar ( پریسا بختآور ) is an Iranian film and television director. She is married to another Iranian film director, Asghar Farhadi. She is famous for her television series, Posht-e Konkooriha, which followed the lives of high school seniors studying for their college entrance exams. Linked together by the illegal satellite dishes installed on the roof of an apartment block, the vignettes wittily glimpse into the very different lives of people living in or visiting the block on a single day. Centering on the luckless Mammad's efforts to fix and install satellites amidst the chaotic behavior of residents, and the mysterious Shirin's dealings with Mammad and the residents of the building, Tambourine is a thoroughly enjoyable romp.
