Rakhshan Banietemad ( رخشان بنی اعتماد ) was born on 3 April 1954 in Tehran. She is an internationally and critically acclaimed Iranian film producer, director and screenwriter. She is widely considered Iran's premier female director, and her films have been praised at international festivals and have been popular with Iranian critics and audiences. Baran and the Native is about that Aboard the top deck of a cruise ship, Baran, a young wealthy girl, notices a native boy who is dancing joyfully to beating drums.
