Tradition of Lover Killing is about that Salar is a illegal woodcutter. Once, while cutting a tree, he gets arrested, his chainsaw is confiscated and he is sent to prison for one year. In his absence, his family members, Baji (wife), Jalal (son) and Majan (daughter), have to pay Mirza (the chainsaw's owner) for the chainsaw.Indeed, before his capture, Majan was set to marry a soldier, Latif, but because Baji saw him when her husband was being captured, she changed her mind about their marriage. Latif tries to convince Baji that he had nothing to do with Salar's arrest . On the other hand, Jalal sees how Mirza treats his mother improperly. He negotiates with Mirza, the leader of wood smugglers, to take a saw to the jungle for Faraj and Ata every day in exchange for his loss. Jalal's secret acts and long absences worry his family. Baji and Majan who are informed of the incident, search for Jalal, and find him in the village infirmary in distress. By this time, Salar is set free and comes back to the village. The first thing he does after arriving, is asking about Latif.
