The Lesson is about that This film consists of a single shot of a classroom as it undergoes a tumultuous period of history, during the Iran-Iraq war. The Iranian army are shown using the room as a staging area, preparing for the Iraqi invasion. Students are taught lessons on how to operate a Kalashnikov rifle rather than the normal education they may have hoped for.
