Sirus Alvand ( سیروس الوند ) is a director and screenwriter who was born in 1950 in Tehran. He began his career as a film critic and screenwriter and directed his debut film Sanjar in 1971. He is among the filmmakers of the pre-Revolution era. Some of his films were box office hits.
