The Unclean is about that Whilst driving on a dark night, a man hits a dog and injures it severely. His guilt and empathy are evident as he takes the whimpering animal to his home. However, dogs are considered 'unclean' in Islam and his wife and family wish for him to disperse of the dog. With his family arguing that the dog can not be present during an upcoming religious festival, the man drives it back to the roadside where he struck it. As his compassion comes into conflict with tradition, the man is faced with a serious dilemma with what to do with the poor animal.
